what is significant about this photo is that Troy aged the three oldest children (who died in infancy) to age 2 (boy on the lower left) and to age 3 (twin girl & boy on the lower right), in addition to painting both parents at their current ages and their year-old twins (center). this was accomplished using photographs of all the children and of their parents in childhood.
